Q: Will there be gluten-free options for lunch and dinner?
A: Yes! For Friday's lunch, all ingredients (except the bread) in the turkey and ham deli sandwiches are gluten-free. On Saturday, both the lunch and dinner meals are gluten-free, as long as you skip the bun on the burgers or hot dogs.
Q: What if I arrive after the posted registration times?
A: If you're unable to check in during the designated registration period, please contact your family representatives by email to arrange a time to pick up your registration materials.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted at the merchandise tents and the charity pancake breakfast?
A: We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, and Venmo.
Q: What happens if I miss the shuttle for my assigned group?
A: Coordinating transportation for over 900 people is a big undertaking, and the shuttle buses will be running on a tight schedule. Buses will depart at the posted times and will not wait for late arrivals. If you miss your shuttle, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation to rejoin your group or return to your vehicle.
You will receive a 10-minute departure reminder through the event app.
To ensure the best spiritual and educational experience, we strongly encourage you to stay with your assigned group.
Don't worry — there are plenty of free time slots throughout the weekend for you to revisit your favorite sites on your own schedule, using your own transportation.
Q: Can anyone use the public shuttles?
A: Yes! Public “hop-on, hop-off” shuttles will run in a continuous loop between Lakeland Community College (event parking) and the Strawberry Festival, located about 250 yards south of the Kirtland Temple.
Public shuttles will run:
Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Q: Will there be shuttles between the Kirtland historic sites?
A: Yes.
Large family shuttles will run between Kirtland and Hiram.
Smaller local shuttles will take guests from one Kirtland site to the next.
If you’re able, we encourage walking between sites — it’s faster, lightens the shuttle load, and adds to the experience.
Q: Are there wheelchair rentals available locally?
A: Unfortunately, there are no wheelchair rentals in Kirtland, but options are available near the Cleveland Airport (search “wheelchair rental Cleveland Airport”).
For guests with mobility concerns, we recommend avoiding the large shuttle to Hiram and instead using the smaller local shuttles for easier access between nearby sites.
Q: Can I explore on my own or leave my assigned group?
A: You’re welcome to explore on your own, but please note:
You must provide your own transportation if you separate from your group.
You may not join another group's bus.
Independent touring may result in longer wait times at popular sites.
For the best experience, we recommend staying with your assigned group during scheduled tour times.
